The Market Strategist plays a critical role as the long-term strategy leader for their assigned region(s). They will be an influential consultative partner to their respective Regional President(s) at Quest Diagnostics. The position reports to the Vice President, Marketing within the corporate Marketing organization. The ideal candidate has 10-15 years’ experience in a strategic marketing or strategy development capacity within the healthcare industry with a successful track record of shaping localized growth strategies for $1B+ business segments. Although an individual contributor, the Market Strategist must have exceptional leadership competencies including influencing teams, shaping vision, and driving change.
The Market Strategist is accountable for developing and steering the multi-year strategic roadmaps that drive annual operating plans (AOPs) and prioritized growth initiatives for their region(s) and related sub-markets.
The Market Strategist drives an outside-in, data-driven approach to assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, customer needs, and opportunities for profitable growth in local markets through multiple channels in collaboration with Commercial and Marketing leaders – HCP, Health Systems, Health Plans, Emerging Markets, and Enterprise Accounts. Their strategic plans will help drive decisions on priorities, investments, and resource allocation. This is an upstream market strategy role with no responsibility for promotional marketing or commercial enablement.
As a member of the Regional Leadership Team, the Market Strategist collaborates with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand business opportunities, define requirements for profitable growth, and create strategic action plans for execution.
This position may be hybrid and is based in our Marlborough, MA location.
