Overview

This Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position will report to the Senior Finance Manager (SFM) and will be a key finance business partner to the Clinical Solutions Franchises within Quest –Products and Services aligned with medical specialties aiming to develop products for improving patient outcomes –  Cardiometabolic Endocrine & Wellness (CMEW), Advanced and Core Infectious Disease and Immunology (IDI), Drug Monitoring, Women’s and Reproductive Health (W&RH), and Neurology. The SFA will support the SFM, be a finance business partner to the Clinical Solutions business leaders and their extended teams, providing financial insights to help drive growth.

 

The individual in this role will need to be agile, adaptable, and flexible given the dynamic nature of the businesses and will work with the SFM and business partners to:

  • Create financial ROI models supporting proposed new product launches / initiatives
  • Provide monthly financial support of the business partners’ P&L
  • Participate in strategic planning to grow the business
  • Build and maintain enhanced reporting capabilities, including reporting dashboards, automations and other enhanced technology solutions to drive financial insights

Responsibilities

  • Support the business leadership by helping formulate business strategy, conduct detailed analysis, and provide financial insights on new product launches / initiatives
  • Take ownership of the business partners’ expense P&L and present monthly financial performance to various levels of management
  • Partner with the product teams and cross-functional partners (e.g. Commercial, Project Management, Strategic Pricing, Research & Development, Technology etc.) to develop annual business plans and track performance
  • Synthesize information from various sources to develop and create new dashboards and reporting tools
  • Create operating financial models for product-based M&A transactions
  • Support VP Finance / Finance Director with various ad-hoc information requests

Qualifications

Required Work Experience:  

  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant work experience

Skills:  

  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of operational and financial processes
  • Customer service focus in working with senior management and functional subject matter experts
  • Strong Excel skills are desired; experience in PowerBI and/or Tableau preferred
  • Attention to detail

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Master’s Degree/CPA preferred
