Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors
including relevant skills, training, experience, education,
and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and
organizational factors are also considered. Successful
candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance
bonus compensation.

The Senior Bioinformatics Engineer will maintain and support current systems in a regulated, clinical environment with patient care as our top priority. This professional will support our San Juan Capistrano, CA and Chantilly, VA labs.
This professional will work in a hybrid capacity (3 days a week onsite) and must live or be willing to relocate to the San Juan Capistrano, CA area.
5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2+ years with a Master's degree and experience in an industrial or academic setting working with clinical and biological data or equivalent and underlying technologies including bioinformatic methods, database development, query/scripting/programming languages, cloud development, agile methodology, DevOps and other data analysis tools.
At least 2 years of experience working in a life sciences environment.
Professional software development or technical engineering experience
Bioinformatics tools such as BWA, SamTools, GATK, Dragen.
Preferred Work Experience:
Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Django preferred.
Experience with NextGen sequencing data, bioinformatics, variant data preferred.
Skills:
Professional software development in a variet of languages including Python, Perl, R, SQL
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree(Required)
Master’s Degree (Preferred)
