The Senior Marketing Manager for Health Plans is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic marketing programs and making data-driven recommendations for the Health Plans customer segment. This role will collaborate closely with the Commercial Health Plan Team and with marketers from Physician, Clinical Segment, Diagnostic Services, Strategic Solutions, Health Systems, Patient, and Digital marketing teams. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Health Plans Marketing and may be based remotely within the US near a Quest Diagnostics regional office or may follow a hybrid schedule in our Secaucus, NJ HQ location (3 days per week in office).

 

Pay Range: ~$130,000 - $160,000 per year

 

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Payer Landscape:Develop a deep understanding of payer needs, behaviors, trends, and drivers to inform marketing initiatives
  • Marketing Program Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of high-quality, integrated health plan marketing programs
  • Drive Marketing Strategy: Lead development of marketing strategies to support assigned health plan national and regional priorities
  • Drive Content Strategy: Create, manage, and deploy audience-specific content across internal and external marketing channels
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build collaborative relationships and lead marketing planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders (key agencies and vendors)
  • Monitor Campaign Performance: Track key performance indicators to measure and optimize the effectiveness of health plan marketing programs
  • Support Training: Collaborate with the Health Plan Training team to implement training to support the rollout of marketing assets and tools to Commercial teams
  • Budget Management: Actively manage marketing spend utilizing budget tracking tool

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA preferred 
  • Minimum 5+ years success in a health plans/payer or healthcare marketing role; experience marketing in highly regulated industries preferred  
  • Proven record of successful execution of marketing campaigns 
  • Strategic marketer who blends creativity with data-driven decision-making and demonstrates a sense of urgency to drive impact 
  • Excellent project management skills, including management of agencies and vendors  
  • Superior storytelling and strong communication skills including ability to develop and deliver formal business presentations 
  • Team oriented - ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams and in a highly matrixed environment 
  • Initiative – ability to independently problem solve and find resolutions 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint 
  • Up to 20% business travel required
