Sign Out Director, Molecular Genetics, remote, the role:
The Sign Out Director, Molecular Genetics, reports to the Senior Director, Molecular Genetics, and is responsible for providing technical interpretation of results and signing reports; implementing new assays, assay troubleshooting, acting as a technical consultant to operations staff and participation in QA responsibilities, and reviewing SOPs. Assumes Clinical Consultant or Technical Supervisor responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director.
The Senior Director, Cytogenetics is responsible for providing interpretation of cytogenetics/FISH results and providing consultation to the clinical laboratory within her/his area(s) of expertise which will maximize quality patient care and ensure continuous business growth throughout the Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute family of laboratories.
The Director position is responsible for providing clinical consultation to the clinical laboratory within her/his area(s) of expertise, which will maximize quality patient care and ensure continuous business growth throughout Quest Diagnostics. Based on candidates experience this position can be tailored to entry level or Senior Director role. This position has a primary responsibility in the cytogenetics department with dedicated time for working in the molecular genetics/pathology laboratory for qualified candidates and provides for excellent career growth opportunities. In addition to laboratory responsibilities, prospects for teaching residents and students are also available.
Position requires to be onsite and offers flexibility of working from home.
